Polyethylene Sheets Malaysia

Tips For Using Polyethylene Sheets Or PE In Your Home

Polyethylene film and sheeting is found in a number of materials and is used for a variety of things from waterproofing to shopping bags. This plastic material is a highly favorable material to use because it does not rot, is highly resistant to chemicals,  is weather resistant and can be reusable. There are a number of ways that you can utilize this plastic in your own home.

WAYS TO USE POLYETHYLENE FILM AND SHEETS IN YOUR HOME:

Tarp:

For a quick way to protect your outdoor furniture, grill or tools you can use Polyethylene sheets over these item that will give them shelter from natural elements.

Polyethylene is also great to use when you go camping for a number of things especially for your tent. Laying a layer of this plastic on the ground under your tent will better ensure that rainwater will not begin to seep through the bottom. You can also add an additional layer on top of the tent to keep it warmer at night. Try to use rocks to secure this plastic because it can end up tearing where you have made holes in it if tent spikes are used.

If you have a woodpile outside for the fall or winter months use polyethylene to keep your stock pile dry until you need it.  Make sure the plastic is sufficiently secured so you do not risk it blowing away in a bad windstorm.

Prevent Leaks In Large Container:

If you have kids and the kiddie pole ends up springing a leak you can easily line the inside of the pool with polyethylene sheets to prevent the pool from leaking.  Using a thicker plastic for this will better resist tearing while your children play in the pool.

Rain Collection System:

If you are looking for a great way to cut back on your water bill you can easily implement a rainwater collection system. Using a polyethylene sheet, suspend it in air by attaching the corners to trees or poles you have in place outside. Try to avoid using this to catch the rainwater running off your roof since your roof has many contaminants like bird poo that you will not want to drink. When putting the plastic sheet in place, make sure one corner is lower than the others so the rainwater has a place to run off at. Place a large gallon sized bucket at the lower corner to catch the rainwater. Then all you need to do is purify it and it can be used for drinking, cooking, pet water and watering plants. This can save you a good amount on your water bill and is really easy to put in place.

Window Insulation:

If you live in an area that is prone to the frigid winter temperatures you can easily line your window with a polyethylene sheet of plastic to better keep out the cold chill.

There are so many ways that you can utilize polyethylene film and sheets in your home. A number of these ways can also be pretty cost effective and save you a good amount of money on utility bills. Polyethylene sheets are so versatile that there is barely a limit on how you and your home can benefit from using this durable plastic.
